KERPA welcomes new physician, response vehicle to program

KERPA (Kootenay Emergency Response Physicians Association) is excited to announce a few additions to the program.
KERPA would like to welcome Dr. Amy Rudkoski to the team.
Dr. Rudkoski, born in the Kootenays, is committed to serving her community and will be undergoing a one-year training program with KERPA before responding to 911 calls on her own.
“We are thrilled to have her on board and excited for the expertise and passion she brings to our organization,” a KERPA social media post said.
“To date she has completed over 135 hours of training with KERPA.”
“Her dedication to her profession and community is a true asset to our team,” the post added.
KERPA said the non-profit charity, is confident that Dr. Rudkoski will thrive during her training and make an invaluable contribution to our emergency response efforts.
“Her deep understanding of the local community and it’s unique challenges will enable her to provide the highest level of care to those in need.”
To assist with getting trained physicians to accident scenes, KERPA is rolling out ERP 2, the second response vehicle has arrived in Nelson.
However, KERPA remains in need of public support to ensure that we have all the necessary medical equipment to provide the best care possible.
